About Dr. Rees Checketts, DO
Thomas “Rees” Checketts, DO, goes by Rees. He is a board-certified internist and fellowship-trained metabolic and obesity medicine physician practicing at Tanner Clinic in Layton, Utah.
Why biology first
Too many patients have spent years being told to eat less and try harder. Dr. Checketts built his practice around the evidence that weight is regulated by hormones, the brain and genetics, and that people deserve treatment for it, not blame.
He shares that message daily with a large online audience as @drreeschecketts, writes a free newsletter on Substack, wrote The Ultimate GLP-1 Guide and co-hosts Tanner Clinic's podcast, Is This Normal, Doc?
